4. How to obtain a valid work permit health check certificate issued overseas
In case foreign employees can’t perform work permit health checks in Vietnam, they can perform health checks overseas. A health check certificate will be considered valid for a work permit application in Vietnam if it matches these conditions:
- The health check certificate must be issued by a foreign hospital/clinic, and must include the examination contents specified in Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT (see below);
- The health check certificate is valid for the work permit application within 12 months from its issuance date;
- The health check certificate must be consular legalized and notarial translated into the Vietnamese language.
