Where to search for a company in Vietnam
When you Google search for a company in Vietnam, it might show results from many websites providing information about that company. However, most websites are private-owned, and they may contain out-of-date information. The best way to obtain accurate and the latest information about a Vietnam company is to check on official government websites.
Vietnam National Business Registration Portal is a government website managed by the Vietnam Ministry of Finance. The portal will provide free information about enterprises in Vietnam, including:
- Name
- Activity status
- Enterprise code/tax code
- Legal type
- Establishment date
- List of legal representative(s)
- Head office address
- Business lines from VSIC lists
However, you would need to purchase the enterprise’s profile if you require:
- An electronic version in Vietnamese of the Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC)
- A historical record of the enterprise’s business registration information for the past three years, including the most current information
- Information regarding investors’ capital contributions to the enterprises
- Report on the individual’s role: information on the list of enterprises that the individual participated in establishing and managing within the last 3 years, along with the individual’s role in those enterprises
It’s important to note that the Vietnam National Business Registration Portal does not provide information on certain types of organizations, such as: representative offices of foreign companies, branches of foreign companies, law offices, public notary offices, judicial examiner offices, individual household businesses, NGOs.

Step 1.
Access the Information Services – Portal on Business Registration
Step 2.
Enter the (full) name or tax code of the company that you want to check in the SEARCH tab to view information
Step 3.
View free information about that company
Step 4.
For paid information, click on PRODUCTS tab and choose your options. The fee is VND 20,000 or VND 150,000 (approximately USD 0.80 or USD 7.00), payable by VISA/MASTER cards. You will receive the results via email within minutes, though it may take up to 24 hours after completing the payment.
